Button Head socket screws.

Socket sizes
are stated in millimetres (imperial sizes have been converted to metric). If you
need a key, click on the symbol in the tables below and you will be taken to the
allen key and ball driver page.
You

Button heads have a smaller socket size and shallower
depth socket than the equivalent sized cap screw and so more care should be
taken not to over-torque, especially on the very small sizes, to avoid
rounding of the socket edges.
It's also crucial to ensure that your hex key of driver is
completely inserted before applying significant torque.
We do not recommend the use of T
handle drivers on socket button head screws below 8 UNC size due to the ease of
inadvertent over-tightening with this style tool.
If your application is for a high torque connection or the screws will be
regularly removed and re-used, we would suggest that a socket cap screw is
considered.
